Paste your GPT.Keep your link.
On December 11, OpenAI retires custom GPTs, and their links stop working. If you share a GPT with a team, clients or an audience, bring its instructions to Skillyo. People run it from ChatGPT, Claude, a Notion page, your website or your web app, and the link keeps working.
Keep what the migration leaves behind.
Each GPT becomes a private ChatGPT plugin. Here's what changes, and what you get in Skillyo.
From OpenAI's custom GPT migration FAQ, as of October 2026.
Your audience finds it where they already are.
People run it from ChatGPT or Claude, or right on a Notion page, your website or your web app. Or send a link anyone can open.
People fill in a form, not a blank chat.
Your instructions become a skill that asks for what it needs, so everyone gets your quality without knowing how to prompt.
You pick the model that does the job best.
Choose Anthropic, Google Gemini or another model for each skill, and change it later without rewriting anything.
Your work stays yours.
A skill is a file on the open Agent Skills standard, the format ChatGPT's plugins use too. Export it any time.
How it works.
Copy your GPT's instructions in ChatGPT. Do it before December 11, while the GPT still opens.
In Skillyo, open Studio, choose Create, then Prompt, and paste them. Skillyo turns them into a skill with a form.
Upload the knowledge files you gave your GPT, run the skill once yourself, then share the link or embed it where your audience is.
What Skillyo can see
Only the instructions you paste and the files you upload. Skillyo doesn't connect to your ChatGPT account.
Questions we get
When do custom GPTs stop working?
OpenAI's migration FAQ schedules custom GPTs to retire on December 11, 2026, or February 11, 2027 for Enterprise workspaces with an approved deferral. Your account or workspace notice may show a different timeline, and the dates have changed before, so check yours.
Will I lose my GPT?
No. You can migrate your GPT to a ChatGPT plugin when migration is available for your account. The plugin starts private, its model, actions and sharing settings don't carry over, and the original GPT link stops working at retirement. Your existing conversations stay available.
Can I keep my old GPT link?
No. Links to the GPT on chatgpt.com stop working on December 11. Your skill in Skillyo gets its own link, which keeps working. Replace the old one wherever you shared it, or put the skill itself on that page.
Can people run it from ChatGPT?
Yes. People who use ChatGPT or Claude run your skill right in the chat, and it opens with its form. It runs in Skillyo too.
Can I put it on my website or in Notion?
Yes. Embed the skill in a Notion page, on your website or in your web app. Visitors fill in the form and get the result right there, without a Skillyo account.
What about my knowledge files?
Upload them to the skill. Each file can be up to 4 MB. GPTs took bigger files, so split or trim a large one first.
My GPT used actions. Will they work?
No. Actions don't carry over in OpenAI's migration or in Skillyo. A skill can read a Google Drive file or a Notion page you point it at instead.
