What is a skill? Your know-how, doing the work.
A skill is how you do a piece of work, written down once for AI: your method, your judgment, and the standard you hold it to. Start from whatever you already have.
Answer three questions
What it does, how it works and what it produces.
Describe it to the assistant
Say what you need in a sentence.
Paste a prompt or custom GPT
From Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
Import a Claude skill
Drop a SKILL.md or a skill folder.
From a screenshot or PDF
We read the prompt and build the skill.
Start from your data
Drop a spreadsheet and get skills tuned to it.
From a GitHub repo
Bring in every skill a repo holds.
From Notion
Import the page your prompts live in.
You already know how to do the work. A skill writes that down so it can be done without you.
Your method, step by step
The order you work in, the things you check, the calls you make along the way. Written once, followed every time.
The questions you always ask first
They become a short form. Whoever runs the skill answers them, so nothing important gets left out.
The standard you hold the work to
So what comes back is finished work you'd put your name to, not a first draft someone has to fix.
One method. The same good work for everyone who runs it.
Once your method is a skill, anyone can run it from the form: you, your team in Claude or ChatGPT, your clients on your website, readers in a Notion page, even an AI agent. Each of them gets your standard.
Share your prompts and skills. Work on them together, in Claude, ChatGPT and more.
Bring in a prompt, a custom GPT or a Claude skill. Share it with colleagues and customers, and work from it together in Skillyo, Claude, ChatGPT, a Notion page or your own website. Everyone gets your method from a short form, and when you improve it, they all get the change. It's saved in the open Agent Skills standard, so it stays yours.
Share with colleagues and customers
Send a link or invite them. They run your method without having to prompt.
Work together in one space
Each team or client gets a skillspace with its skills, files and every result, so everyone sees the latest work.
Use them in Skillyo, and from Claude or ChatGPT
People run the same skills and collaborate from their favorite app.
Put them on your website, in Notion or in your app
Customers run them where they already are, in your brand.
AI agents can run your skills too.
An agent is software that does tasks on its own. It runs your skill the same way your team does, with the same method and the same standard.
Connect your agent
Add Skillyo to Claude, ChatGPT or any agent that works with MCP, sign in, and choose the skillspaces it can use.
It fills in the same form
Your agent picks the right skill and sends the answers a person would type.
It gets the finished work
The same result, ready to use or pass on.
For example, a sales agent that writes every new proposal your way, or a scheduled job you set up that sends Friday's status update.
Questions we get
Do I need to know how to write prompts?
No. Whoever runs a skill fills in a short form. Whoever writes one describes how they do the work, in plain words, and Skillyo turns it into a skill. You can also start from something that already works for you.
How is a skill different from a saved prompt?
A saved prompt keeps the words. A skill keeps the method: the questions to ask, the steps to follow and the standard to meet, and it hands back a finished result rather than a reply in a chat.
What is a SKILL.md file?
A SKILL.md file is the heart of a skill in the open Agent Skills format: a short text file with the skill's name, a description of when to use it, and its instructions. Claude and other tools read it. Drop one into Skillyo and it becomes a skill with a form anyone can run.
I already use skills in Claude or ChatGPT. Why would I need Skillyo?
Keep using them. A skill in Claude helps you; a skill in Skillyo helps everyone you share it with. Your Claude skills come in with one message, and your colleagues, clients and audience run the same skill from a form, without a chat account.
Can AI agents use skills?
Yes. A skill describes the work clearly enough for software to follow it, not only people. An agent connected to Skillyo runs a skill with the same answers a person would give on the form, and gets the same finished result. You choose which skillspaces it can reach.
Can I take my skills to another platform?
Yes. What you build in Skillyo is yours. Skills use the open Agent Skills standard, so you can export any skill as a folder and run it in Claude, ChatGPT and other tools that support the standard.
Write it down once. Let it do the work from then on.
Turn the job you repeat into your first skill.
